The brief
Maineland was running on an old 21-page template site that scored 73 for mobile performance and 77 for SEO in Lighthouse. The goal was to move its copy and photos onto a fast new site with dedicated service, town and guide pages. I also wanted the owner to be able to keep the project gallery current without calling a developer.
What I built
- 27 public pages, including 6 service pages, 7 town pages from Casco to Falmouth, and 5 homeowner guides
- Gallery CMS where the owner can upload, caption, categorize, reorder and delete photos, each resized in the browser to three sizes
- Admin sign-in with hashed passwords and session tokens, protection against forged requests, and a lockout after repeated failed logins
- Google reviews refreshed daily, feeding review carousels on the home, testimonials and town pages
- Contact form with a backup delivery route, plus automatic phone number formatting
- Structured data describing the business and each page’s breadcrumb trail, unique page titles and descriptions, and a sitemap
- Hero slider with separate desktop and mobile crops and swipe support, plus a contact button that appears after scrolling
- Migrated the legacy copy and photos, including 45 gallery photos in 5 categories moved into the CMS, and added an ADU construction guide linked from the town pages
